Hi, when searching and sharing road tracks for mountain bike on Connect, Strava and Wikiloc I always feel disappointed when I see no chance to detect if the track is gravel, offroad or tarmac.
The only way to check is riding the road on my own or spending time on Google Earth trying to guess what the pixelated white/grey lines are about.
Garmin devices are a sensor on their own and they can also take advantage of many dongles available on the market for a more accurate activity tracking.
I know the Garmin HRM-Run sensor can give many information on cadence, pace lenght etc.
The only difference between a paved or a gravel road is VIBRATION and also many mobile phones are good enough to measure even a tiny movement.
Is there any app or function of existing Garmin device which can take advantage of this basic data and translate into a more accurate tracking experience?
