Garmin absolutely needs to begin linking the amazing menstrual tracking feature to *any* tracked workout.
I.e. If I track a run, amongst the running stats it says e.g. 'Day 15 of your cycle; luteal phase' and maybe a summary of how it's typical for a women to be feeling during this phase etc. So, with every workout that's tracked, you can have the menstrual data permanently alongside the workout data, so you can easily spot trends of when you're fastest, or perceived effort was higher etc.
I thought of this today in particular as I am in my 'luteal' phase, which Garmin really usefully tells me 'Your body should be able to handle more endurance-based training right now, so go try that long run or ride'. I did a 6.15km run which is fairly average for me. Perceived effort was pretty high, however, my average pace was my quickest yet! It'd be invaluable to see the menstrual data permanently linked to the run data, so when looking back at all your data over time you can spot trends.
As we all know, your cycle massively impacts your 'good training days' and your 'bad training days'. Linking the data will allow for more productive and efficient training.
(PS. I am unsure if I have put this on the right part of this forum - I REALLY want Garmin app developers to see this and I am hoping this is a section where they'll take note of people's requests. Please let me know where to put this if there's a better space).
