I miss MQTT support for Garmin sensors, as for instance in the Polar Sensor Logger app developed by Jukka Happonen, Senior Specialist at Polar Electro Oy Research Center. MQTT is a contemporary live-streaming solution with support for Matlab, Python, Influx dataDB, Grafana and other applications. There is an and InfluxDB client for MATLAB and Python available, for easy data processing in Matlab and Python.
The following options are currently available for athletes who want to analyse their data in the application of their choise:
1) Export sensor data from Garmin Connect via .CSV and import .CSV to MATLAB, Python
2) A Rasperri PI ANT+ script which sends sensor data to an MQTT broker
3) an EventHubApp which sends sensor data over the Azure Cloud to Microsoft Power PI (Dave Lusty from Microsoft UK)
I miss an MQTT connect IQ app which sends sensor data to an MQTT broker in the web from Garmin, or a separate Garmin Sensor Logger app for MQTT live-streaming.
