Heartbeat from Edge synchronized with Connect

Hello.

I've noticed that when I upload an activity from my Edge 530 to Garmin Connect I can't see my heart data in Health Stats - Heart Rate, but when I upload an activity from my Forerunner 935 heart data it's syncronized. Can heartbeat be uploaded to Health Stats as it does with the Forerunner?

Do you have an external HRM paired with the Edge? You'll need that. The 935 has OHR and will use that if there is no external HRM.

Yes, heart data from a HRM-tri strap is synchronized with my activity from the Edge 530, but that heart data doesn't appear in Health Stats - Heart Rate, it's strange.

If I understand waht you're talking about, that's only for OHR as that is generated all the time on devices with OHR. You can see the HR in the activity but that's all.

Maybe it is so, but when I go cycling I don't wear my FR 935 because I have all the data I need in my Edge 530. It makes sense this data goes to the heartbeat data on Garmin Connect, at least when there is no overlapping data from other devices. That's one of the reasons to buy gear from the same manufacter, to have all data at the same place.

This is something that can't be done in CIQ, only in the firmware. Try sugesting it to Garmin:

Some devices (most but not all) have a function named TrueUp to manage consistent data across multiple devices. You might want to check that up and also have a look at the dedicate Edge 530 forum

Actually, there's TrueUp (24/7 data like steps) and Physio TrueUp. which is the activity related stuff. Edge devices don't do the 24/7 stuff, and I think the HR data he's looking for would be in that catagory.

On watches with OHR, there's also two modes. The 24/7 mode that may not be as accurate, but is more battery friendly, and the mode used during activities.

So see which mode you're in, peek under the watch and watch the green leds. If flashing, 24/7. If solid, activity.
