Proper Noob time - read JSON via web

I have some JSON I would like to parse/access for a v simple app that reads web data.
No harm in sharing the source

(i'm a type1 diabetic and this shows my latest Blood Glucose lvls)

I'm a Garmin Fenix user who has spent lockdown learning basic Python so have a v basic grasp of concepts needed.

Have Eclipse installed and can get a basic watch face up and do a hello world but I'm really struggling to see where to go next. (and cannot seem to access the Programming Guide anymore)
anyone care to take pity on newbie?

Use makeWebRequest(). It converts json data to a CIQ dictionary.

With a watch face, the calls must be done in a background service. There are a number of threads about doing this in a background, as it's common for getting weather info.

IQ itself parses JSON into arrays and structures.

Use makeWebRequest to retrieve it from the website.
