Due to the very low "beep" notification with the Edge 830 has anyone thought about developing a BT app that would allow all notifications (especially Varia radar alerts) to be sent to the user's smartphone or third party BT speaker which has a much louder and controllable volume? The very low alert volume of the 830 is one of the main complaints of the device. Personally I find it extremely bad and even compared it to the much older 800 using a sound meter and it is considerably lower. I can barely if at all hear alerts of approaching vehicles when paired with the Varia RTL515. Based on third party reviews this issue of low volume "beeps" was resolved with the 1030 Plus by dramatically increasing the native volume. This is something that may not be able to do with firmware changes due to current hardware (830) but an app allowing the BT transfer of alert notifications to another device for broadcast should resolve this issue.
