Support for Cronometer

I've been a big Garmin user for the last couple of years (Fenix 3x - 5x - 6x) and for a while I was happy with the integration with MyFitnessPal, however I've gone in a more Keto way of eating and MFP is not as good for a Keto lifestyle than Cronometer.

I know it's been asked before but can we get an answer on having integration with Cronometer, I'm sure that Cronometer would be happy to help with this as I know that there are a lot of people asking for this kind of integration.

  • This is something that the folks at Cronometer would have to work out with the folks at Garmin. They need access to the data exposed via the Garmin Health API, and information on that can be found here:

  • Cronometer blows all other nutrition tracking platforms out of the water, and the people are very helpful. I am now considering moving over to fitbit simply for the significantly better 2-way integration of their platform, which seamlessly provides real time macro breakdowns. Any serious athlete knows that nutrition has a significant effect on training. MFP is joke now and stuck in the past, 10 years behind, and not innovating or advancing in any meaningful way. Cronometer continuously adapting and updating their platform with features that I don't even use and even allows user updates to nutrition databases and scanning of bar codes. So overall, MFP isn't even a platform I consider any more. Like I said, stuck in the past, left in the dust. Which is exactly where Garmin will be if they don't innovate and update 3rd party integration instead of trying to do everything within themselves.

Please remember that you are posting in an area of the forum that is *dedicated* to ConnectIQ application development, and what we are talking about here is completely off topic.

In order for any integration to happen, representatives from Cronometer and Garmin will to get together and figure it out. I have already forwarded relevant information and posted a response here.

Holy moly. Im glad that I did a search about the integration with cronometer! Garmin has the best sensors but doesn't integrate with the best nutrition tracker? This is definitely a deal breaker. I'm not using mfp for nothing. I'm gonna hold on to my ionic a bit longer until this gets sorted. I love the integration of fitbit and cronometer. It makes it easy to manage my calories. Maybe I'll wait for the sense to come out. I'm not unhappy with fitbit just been curious about Garmin for ever.
