Fenix light on specific part of facewatch

Hi all,

I’m curious. Did anyone knows if it is possible to « permenently » have the light on some section of the facewatch ? What I mean here is something resembling at the phosphorescent paint on classical watches.

would it be possible to have 5% brightness on the hands, 5 min markers and numbers ? And of course, have full brightness when you raise the watch or you press the light button.

it might be 2 seperate systems... might not also... I’m just thinking about this because I’ve seen an awesome Lüm-Tec watches with bright phosphorescent watchface...

On a garmin, the back light is on or off (there aren't just areas that be individually turned on/off). There can be a brightness for the back light, but again it applies to the whole display.

I got that for now it’s not something that has been done before. BUT ! Is is something that can be worked out ?

I managed to find something interesting on another forum. It’s for a Samsung watch tho... from 3 years ago... quite sure it evolved on their end and on Garmin side as well since then. Right ?

if you see as you scroll, they are mentioning a « Dim mode » this is exactly what I would like as functionity on my watch. And I think a lot of users would beneficiate of it.

Is it something that can be added to the roadmap ? Or can facewatch developers access the « Lighting capabilities » of the watch ? (Or dim capabilities)

As last resort, is it possible to upload / convert this samsung facewatch to Garmin ?

On top of that, a CIQ watchfact itself can't control the back light.

The display tech used in Garmin watches is different than Samsung, but the venu might be close (AMOLED)
