It would be great to have a widget to display the screenshot image as a note

IQ doesn't give you access to files.

Interesting idea. Need to determine if apps can access the files in that directory. Just getting started with development so I don't know (anyone know?)

Thanks. Is there a method for taking a screenshot in a program? (which you can't assign to a hot key?)

No, there isn't.

What the environment lets you do is very limited.

It's not clear what the value of seeing a screenshot as a "note" would be (or why it's an "interesting idea").

It's not clear what use having a program to do this (automatically??) would be.

(And I've taken scores of screenshots.)

Personally, I want the screenshot sent to my email, thinking about this from a security perspective I'm sure things are all locked down. I'm lazy I don't want to plug the watch in every time I want to copy the screenshot directory.

How often do you need that? How many other people need that?

I've taken scores of screenshots and don't think that would be worth the effort for Garmin to add it.

This would fall under the category of developer tools IMHO. Garmin could restrict access to the API to developers only for debugging (production apps using the screenshot API could be blocked.).

It still wouldn't be useful.

Developers take screenhots once in a while (maybe, a bunch at one time) and it isn't a problem plugging the device into a computer to get then.

Developers (I am one) would much rather have better error reporting and be able to have their apps do more things for the app end users. Or have Garmin fix bugs (I've reported three of them).

Garmin should add a "keypad" (number/letter entry) to the API. That would be really useful.

Garmin can't do everything. They have to focus on things that had real value.
