Watchface: Next calendar item with time/date

I need a watch face that shows:

Time of day
Date
Day of week
Next item on my calendar (iPhone)

I haven't found a watchface with the calendar field that shows on the same screen as the time of day. Is there a Garmin dev environment limitation that makes having the calendar item with the time of day impossible?

    There are no APIs to access Calendar info in ConnectIQ at this time.

    (The Communications API paired with a partner app is the only possible way to obtain that type of information at this time.)

    Hi, I know this is an old thread, but being a brash newbie here (first post, whoo!) I thought I'd resurrect it.

    Do the Vivoactive/VAHR Calendar widgets get the calendar info via the Communications API paired with a partner app (Connect Mobile)? If so, can you tell us how it's doing that?

    Would it be too much to hope for calendar access APIs in Connect IQ 2.1? Reading the developer blog, I can see that revealing user info is a big concern (and rightly so), and hopefully the signing steps are enough to secure information well enough that you can open up the calendar to developers.

    I'd really like to see a better calendar widget that showed more than just the day's calendar events (say, the next N/week's events instead). And hopefully someone could write a workaround to the all day events that are converted to UTC if no one at Garmin is able to figure out the cause of the problem. And, yeah, calendar events on a watchface would be cool too- I've gotten spoiled by them on my previous smartwatch.
