Some of the plans I had for it:
- Start an activity when beginning
- Vibrate and signal a lap each time you hit another segment.
- Program could be based on time or distance (there are plans for both)
- Include a 5 minute warmup (maybe allow it to be adjusted) and continue recording time for the activity after the last segment.
- Allow for sensors like GPS, etc.
- Show segment time, total time, segment distance, total distance, etc. Maybe have a way to not include the warmup distance so you know how far you actually ran.
I have used such an app before on my iPhone (another reason to question whether to write it) but one thing it didn't count was actual distance. By the time I ran the entire time, I wasn't sure if I was really running 5K distance. A vivoactive app could track it on GPS and you would know how close 30 minutes on the clock is to 5K of distance.
