[Request] Lap Ascent Data Field

Currently on Fenix 3 the Lap Ascent is not working due to a bug (https://forums.garmin.com/showthread.php?228875-Wrong-Lap-Ascent-and-Last-Lap-Ascent-Do-you-have-the-issue-on-your-F3)

I am not really into app development: would it be possible to program such data field via IQ Connect, or does the API only provide access to the buggy LAP ASC value and hence it's not possible to calculate the real ascent for the lap?

The altitude information is available, but there is no way for a data field to know that a lap has started/ended that I can see.

Until ConnectIQ is updated to provide some sort of mechanism to support this, or until someone finds some bit of information that could be used to know a lap event occurred, this request not possible.
