My Xiaomi mi9 didn't allow notifications through to my Garmin device all the time only a very few make it through yet it says it's always connected it tends to allow notifications through just after using the connect app but will stop straight after

The same happened to me. I have a Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro and Garmin Vivoactive 3.

What finally worked for me was this:
- Open 'Settings'
- Search for 'Autostart'
- Allow Garmin Connect to autostart…

I have the same problem :-(

Smart notifications are shown on my vivosport only if the Connect App is activated or at least running in the background, but not if ist's closed.

On my former smartphone the notifications were also shown when the app wasn't running.

Exactly the same... Tried all answers... Unpair, reset connections, grant All permissions and background unlimited resources.. Nothing seems to work..

Happens to me as well.. Tried every solution, connection reset, unpairing, phone reset, permissions, background running, unlimited battery usage, nothing works... No live call notifications..

Hi,

I have MI9 in German language, so I don't Know the correct Menü Name.

You have to set Energy to no Limit, Autostart on, Background working =true

Here it works correctly.

Ok, i thought autstart was the Solution...

I choosed all Apps in Garmin Connect smart notifications. Maybe this helps...

It doesn't help me :( I had already tried it.. They call me, nothing on the screen, As soon as I don't answer, a notification of a missed call appears on the clock (not live notification, just the notification icon is increased by one)..

Tried that, also tried to reset the bluetooth connections, remove the battery restrictions, locked the application on the background and add all permissions possible.. Cannot get my watch to notify my that somebody is calling..

In my case, apparently I once tried to reset the phone connections and my watch.

Resetting my watch disabled the smart notification setting on the watch side. There is a setting there as well under the Bluetooth section..

Now it works.. I feel like the jokes where someone complains his computer is not working without plugging it in..
