Posting scores and stats to GHIN

  1. I have been following a request on the garmin golf watch S62 forum for quite a few months and that request has gotten zero traction so I thought I should post it here instead.
  2. All Garmin golf users should have the ability to have the golf scores automatically uploaded to GHIN handicap system.
  3. Having to score your game in the watch and then turn around and do it all again on the GHIN app is ridiculous.  Most of my golfing buddies use Garmin and all would love this additional feature.
  4. Please add that connection for scores and all the associated stats.  If Garmin is serious about being a golf watch supplier this simple feature is a must have for serious golfers.  Its also a feature that should have been available from the beginning!
  • I see said the blind man.  Thank you.

  • There is a good amount of info for Garmin Golf handicap outlined on the website article linked in the articles below if needed:

  • Thanks for the information, however that does nothing for what we've actually been asking for.  Why doesn't Garmin get this?  We don't want boilerplate answers.  A lot of the users from all the platforms have been asking for GHIN integration for posting our scores.  Other apps/platforms have this feature, but we don't want to have to double enter our scores.

  • My response above was in-relation to our fellow forums user on this post asking about handicap features to provide some additional info where we have extensively outlined the info on our website. The links were not in-response to any of your comments on this thread.

Please refer to my verified response for the current status of this topic, as well as the other verified responses I have provided for this request on other posts here in forums where users have requested the same feature to be added.

User feedback has been reported on this request to our Quality & Engineering team here at Garmin, and I have continued to add accounts here that have been requesting the change here in Garmin Forums.

    As of May 20th, 2025:

This feature is not able to be incorporated into our products as available at this time for reasons outside of Garmin's capacity, and that is the extent of the info available to provide on the request at this time. If this feature is something we are able to add at some point in the future, we will be sure to announce any potential changes as they become available.

  • Thanks, Garmin-Cody.  I struggle with this answer as the cycling apps in Garmin sync with just about every 3rd party app out there, Strava, Training Peaks, etc.  I know you have the ability to produce a flat file to export the data.  In its simplistic form all that being asked for is data already being captured by Garmin Golf.  If Garmin can’t/will not do it can we at least get the flat file so maybe we can create the integration ourselves?  Just doesn’t seem that hard.  All we are asking for is the course, tees played, users GHIN number, and strokes per hole.  I think IFTTT could be utilized if we had a file to send.  When opening an activity in Golf you have all the info there, just allow it to be sent over with the member GHIN number.  Like I said, just doesn’t seem that hard for today’s technology.  You have great products, please don’t ruin that for us all and make us go elsewhere.

"outside of Garmin's capacity" means that either there is a problem between the USGA's GHIN API and Garmin's APIs, or Garmin has determined that paying the API access fee is "too much". I suspect it's the latter, because I can use the API directly by providing my username and password.

Now that I've dug that far... I wonder if there's an API I can use to get my handicap data from Garmin, because if so, I can build a posting tool and make millions off the Garmin customers that Garmin has chosen to leave hanging.

  • If you do this, let me know, I’m in, it’s a no brainer. Easy subscription service, everyone would go for it. Baffling garmin doesn’t offer this basic functionality. It’s the only drawback to my “golf specific” garmin watch imho.

  • I submitted feedback through the GHIN application to understand what the issue is.

The response I received was that GHIN only has integration with  one smart watch (Apple) and they are looking to add other smart watches.

Since I  know Arccos is integrated I asked them why couldn't the Garmin Golf app be integrated the same way the Arccos application integration was done.  I am waiting for that response from them .

Wanted to let everyone know that it's time to put the pressure on GHIN to get this done!!!

  • I would guess it is an Apple contract issue, they want to keep everyone else out.  Just another reason to dislike the ifart army.

  • For heavens sake! There has to be more to this issue than Garmin-Cody states. Does GHIN charge a fee to Garmin for the privilege of allowing Garming users to automatically upload their scores? C’mon Garmin! Make it happen!
