The voice usually quotes a 4 digit number at random intervals, I can not understand them as the phone is in the bag. No apps are open on the phone and nothing comes up in massages.

Checking the accessibility settings on your phone to see if audio prompts are enabled. If you are hearing the default voice for your Samsung, then check and make sure that there are not any speech to text…
When I'm recording a golf round on my F6Pro, my phone in my bag also talks - it's playing the configured audio announcements, lap speed, HR etc.
I have them enabled for when I'm running with BT…
Hi. Has there been any further progress on this. I am having the same issue.
Mine does it also. It says Lap 4.17 or whatever never it chooses. It's so strange.
You may have figured this out already, but I just saw in the Garmin Connect app under Device Settings> Choose your watch> Activity Options>Audio Prompts - toggle off. I literally just found it and will be playing tonight. I'll keep an ear out to see if it stops.
Hi Katie, Yes it is voice prompt to tell you how much you had walked or buggied on the golf course or any activities. You found it and it should work! Cheers!
I see that in the current Fenix6 beta firmware, there's this note:
17.72 Change Log Notes:
Hopefully this means they added a per-activity type setting, so we can disable the audio prompts for golf but leave them enabled for other activities (like running/cycling)
Do you know if that's the case, Garmin-Chris?
PS. I can't seem to @ mention you Chris, your name doesn't come up in the @ list.
I am not running the v17.72 Beta to be able to track down more information but I will definitely be keeping an eye out for the official release to look into it more.
How can I turn it off though?
You can always turn your alerts off and on. Keep in mind, if you turn off the audio alert to not be heard during Golf, remember to enable it again for other activities when not golfing.
