Map layer selection iPad

On the new Explore app:

When trying to select a new map layer on my iPad, the selection interface is sometimes partially off the screen. It's not possible to scroll horizontally to access the "hidden" layers.

After several restarts, it works correctly for some time before being off screen again. 

  • Same issue here on both an iPad M4 Pro and an older iPad Air.  Both running current IOS and Garmin Explore 4.1.  Unfortunately, this is yet another frustrating example of Garmin’s ability to provide a relatively bug free product.  To continue the rant, this is one of the reasons why people are exploring alternate products.  IE tablets, Apple Maps, Google Maps, etc….

    Fingers crossed that a new update fixes something that should not be an issue.

  • I twice unistalled and then reinstalled the Explore app but no no change in the map layers functionality. However, for about 5 minutes one day, I found it working correctly, then it stopped again. Since then, every time I've used the app, it wasn't working. I had an email asking for my address, here it is, *****

  • With Explore 4.2 released few days ago:

    still the same, tested on iPad 10 gen with iPadOS 18.3.1

  • I was emailed today with instructions to update to version 4.2 because the issue had been fixed. I updated but still not fixed. No difference that I was able to notice.
