Edit Multisport activities

Former Member

Hi,

I tried the search function but could not find anything to resolve my problem..

I have done a triathlon on the weekend and uploaded it to Garmin Connect. I really like that it now shows u as a single event and not as 5 individual activities as before (swim, bike, run and 2 transitions).

My problem is however that I cannot edit the workout. Like so many times I forgot to press lap after the triathlon and now my total time is way too long. I tried to use the edit function and just change the time (how I can do it with normal activities) but my changes are not being saved.

I am not sure if that's a bug, was done by intention or I simply make a mistake but does anyone have a solution on this?

Any help is really welcome!

Thanks

    Hi eveyone,

I think I'm in the right place :)
Last week, I managed to launch the run mode instead of the multisport mode... Which means that I have now registered the world reccord for a 52km run ^^

I would like to know if somebody kind enough could help me in fixing this (not that I don't like to have the world record but somebody could find out that I have ran part of it on the water...^^).

    Here are my times:
    Swim (1250m; 21min41sec): In:0:00:00 out: 21min41sec
    T1 (1min 4sec) In: 21min41sec out: 22min44sec
    Bike (40km; 1h16min 43sec): In: 22min44sec out: 1h39h27sec
    T2 (1min14sec) In:1h39min27sec out: 1h40min41sec
    Run (10km; 41min 37sec): In: 1h40min41sec out: 2h22min19sec

I have stored the TCX file on:
    https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/52963364/activity_1200301697.tcx

    Thanks a lot in advance.

    Hello Nico,

I got within a few seconds of your times. Also the coordinates during the swim were very erratic making distances too long and speeds too high. I filtered and smoothed the track some. Also using your time for the swim included 50 seconds of running at 11km/h after getting out of the water. I left it that way but it messes up your avg swimming speed. So....here ya go. A MultiSport manufactured with the Fit File Repair Tool.

Great! Thanks a lot. It is very much appreciated :)
No problem for the average swim time. it is very close to the reality so it's perfect for me.

    Hello Thom,

Looks like your request fell thru the cracks :p I went back and found your file and repaired it. The first 11 minutes of the Cycling session is weird with 3 big time jumps but you did not lose much distance and the speeds look reasonable. So....here ya go. Manufactured a MultiSport with the Fit File Repair Tool.

    Hello Eddie,

I added the transitions based on speeds in the file. There were no elevations because in swim mode the 920 does not record elevations. The software added elevations based on the electronic topography (contours) in MapQuest. Here ya go....a MultiSport manufactured with the Fit File Repair Tool.

  • NYC Tri 2016 - Forgot to press lap

Can you help me out with my activity? I have two issues:

    1. The swim is only registering as around 1000 yards but it was actually around 1500 meters. I floated on my back for a few mins which may be the cause.

    2. I pressed lap too late after exiting my swim and way too late after leaving T1 for the bike leg. Can you fix?

    File attached.

    Race Results:
    Swim 19:58
    T1 6:46
    Bike 1:19:10
    T2 2:33
    Run 50:14

    Thanks.

    Changing multisport to running

    Hi,

I accidentally started my 1/2 marathon run this past weekend in biking mode, and within 5 minutes into the run changed it back into running mode. As a result I now have a multisport .fit file. Could someone help to change it to just purely a running mode .fit file? Thanks for your help in advance.

    Attached fit file:

    Thanks,
    Michal
