Live track link doesn't work (BUG) > Fixed (Resolution << Ref: 22665795K1 >> <Q#:1000352>)

The hyperlink contained in the email received to follow someone's activity doesn't work.

  • I just tried it. At least in my case it did not work.

  • Just had live track email notification come through on my Android phone. Opened Gmail and yet again it was marked as unsafe. However this time tapping the "it's safe" button made the link work!

  • I clicked the Looks Safe button from Gmail and it didn't work.

Did the Block/Unblock thing and refreshed Gmail.  It worked but I don't know if it was from the Block/Unblock or refreshing the page.

  • On the live tracking email that is sent to my partner it has no link attached to it so unable to track . Why is this ?

  • Is your partner using Gmail? Gmail marks the mail as suspicious and removes the link. Clicking "Looks safe" should reenable the link. That doesn't seem to work that good which is an issue with Gmail.

I started LiveTrack several times after each other and clicked Looks Safe every time and now Gmail do not mark the mails as suspicious.

Another trick is to click Looks Safe. Send the mail to Spam and then mark the mail as Not Spam.

For me it also worked to click Looks Safe and then delete the mail. Then I moved back the mail from Bin.

  • Garmin support reached out to me in regards to this case and confirmed this is issue is now resolved and you should no longer see any issues. Good job Garmin folks, thank you Champagne

  • Hmm..  So they worked out a deal with Gmail?

The email content that Garmin puts in these messages might not be tripping the Gmail unsafe email detectors, but it still really bad content.  IMO Garmin should still update the fine print at the bottom of the email with the full livetrack URL, and add some details about unsubscribing.  Gmail was right to flag it as suspicious.

  • Yes, I too found the problem has been resolved.
