Another funny thing is that the activities are counted flawlessly in the monthly Garmin Connect Fitness Report...but for badges they don't count.
Indeed. Conclusion. Use Strava. Connect is pointless for anything other than integration. Which I would imagine is the exact opposition to what Garmin was trying to achieve here.
Too bad, I was enjoying data-first approach of Connect and native challenges but since I'll be Zwifting heavily from now on I guess I must stop caring about these challenges and get on with my life. Which is crazy, because I am using my Garmin Fenix 7X to push Heart Rate to Zwift in Virtual Run.
Funnily, it is that way even though Garmin has the information about my HR even if I discard the activity. I have just checked in Garmin Connect I have both the continuous HR data and Activity marked (which features all the details you could wish for).
