I was half way to completing the 2021 "January Ride to 200" challenge with ZWIFT rides and now my progress says zero.
My ZWIFT rides have always counted in the past challenges... is this something new??

Well, the thing about that position from Garmin of using Garmin devices for Badges/Challenges is that I'm using a freaking TACX Neo 2T, albeit through Zwift. I just don't understand the logic that…
I was just chatting with Garmin Support, and yes they recently made an update which blocks 3rd party services from challenges. Yes, their challenge guidance states Garmin device activities are required…
The badges are just for motivation, right?
Why does not Garmin want their users to be motivated? Who really cares how the training has been recorded?
I think this is just a way of Garmin to push their…
I can report the same issue. All virtual activites uploaded from zwift during december were recognized for the december challanges – for the current challange this changed some days ago as stated here. Leaving the challange and joining again (as some state in other threads) didn’t change anything.
Nevertheless my virtual activites are recognized in a private challange. Are there any differences in privacy treatment for the different kind of challanges?
Garmin has never officially supported Zwift for Challenge Badges. They have stated that you must log your activities with a Garmin device. It has still worked for some reason. We have no info in why it worked before. Some sort of miss from Garmin or maybe something Zwift did that made it work.
I wrote this earlier in this thread:
"Challenge Badge activities must be performed on a Garmin device and uploaded directly to Garmin Connect or the Garmin Connect app." - support.garmin.com/.../
Folks, Here's a strange one. I have my Zwift communicating with Garmin Connect and have been receiving the indoor cycling badges with no problem. But today, just after I completed a 50k indoor cycling, I noticed the badge is not awarded... Logged into Garmin Connect and realised that some of the earlier badges that I already had have disappeared. so I've lost the climb 3 (2000ft) badge, 10 mile and 20 mile badges. Has anyone else faces something similar?
What is the "virtual run" function for? If he doesn't count my activities ???
As long as you record the activity with a Garmin device, it does count the activity.
Okay, so here's how STUPID this is Garmin. I figured you did not want Zwift data because you can go faster downhills but we also go slower uphills so if you were worried about accuracy then that was lame because I connected my Tacx trainer to Zwift and the Tacx Training app at the same time and the Tacx Training app data counted towards the challenges for which I was then able to bump up the distance to match Zwift and it gave me credit towards the badge so for all intent and purposes anyone can cheat and add mileage as needed so why then would you block Zwift data? Very lame decision.
