The Forerunner 25 seems…
The 245 is not normally an issue, but I would start with removing all files in the \GARMIN\ACTIVTY folder regardless of what it says is available, especially if you have chronic corrupt file issues.
Hi seilogramp, Thanks for the quick response, really appreciate it.
Sad, I managed to get the same distance. Any idea why it will happen?
Oh, thought you said you only got 11KM. There was an abrupt stop at 17km. No further data.
oops, sorry, I mixed up with the timing. My cycling activity should be 46.22km, 03:17:00. Everything was normal the entire time, until I ended my activity. But when I was saving, my watchface suddenly turned to default. All the watchface was missing, so I restarted my watch and sync to IQ Connect. The activity is still in the Last Cycling, but I'm unable to view the details for that activity. The date is December 31.
I read similar cases in other forum. Anyway, thanks for the help. Finding ways how to avoid this from happening again.
Finding ways how to avoid this from happening again
See previous answer - Corrupt FIT file - The following error occurred: Unexpected end of file while parsing Name has occurred. Line 151558, position 9
Hey, thank you very much!!! I think my watch do not have space to save the data, hence it stopped. will keep this in mind before going for long activity again.
I am having the same issue as the OP. Can anyone help?
Not really corrupt, since Garmin Connect accepts it as is. Looks like issues with no GPS data starting at 1:14:30.
Was this supposed to be an out-and-back? What were the real distance and time totals?
Thanks for the reply. No, wasnt an out and back. the return passed through 'Headford' Strange thing is I had power and live data and time etc as I rode. I don't actually know what the exact distance should be.
Looks like you stopped at the Texaco where the GPS stopped and didn't pick up again until 9 km from the end. Which is why you see that straight line. Even though you'll see your position on the map during your ride, the activity is not being recorded, so no GPS tracks or timestamps or any other metrics during that gap.
Yes stopped at the Texaco but most definitely restarted as I have the "movement detected" prompt on the screen and would not have been able to see any info without restarting. It's a Garmin 800.
