Activity won't upload to Garmin Connect

The last two days I've been having troubles uploading my activities to Garmin Connect. I get the usual message that syncing is complete, but the activity does not show on Garmin Connect. The activity from two days ago disappeared from my Fenix 3 activity history after syncing as well, but the activity from yesterday is still there. Any ideas what the issue might be and how to solve it?

  • What I meant is that activities sometimes does not upload to the garmin Connect account, even when connection between Phone and watch is established and watch show green icon on the garmin Connect app, Garmin says that file „could be corrupted” but once Phone is Connected vis cable to the PC normaly what I am doing is extracting file from the watch activieties folder and then uploading it manualny to the garmin Connect website and only then I can see my activity, but the problem is that I am not having my laptop all the time especially when I am traveling and then problem starts and I am not able to upload activity vis app usuną Phone , garmin know this problem already long time , first time I reported it it was 2019 year and tlił now nobody fixed the issue , how could be file corrupted when. It is possible to upload it manualy afterwards without fixing it? So it means it is not corupted but problem is somewhere else , and looks like it is not only my problem with automatic uploading of the activities .

  • I have same situation since 2019 and reported it to garmin several times and every time I found that the activity file was not corrupted and did not required fixing it before uploading manualny via usb cable And PC . You always answer : file is „ likly „ !!! Corupt what you mean likly? You are not sure ? For over 3 years this problem exisit in garmin and I am telling you it is not about coreupted file and you know it can you please tell me why my activities does not sync w my account from time to time as it anoying especially when I am abroad without access to the PC let say in high mountains while climbing I am using only my phone how I can send my activity ?????

  • I have the same problem. I can’t believe Garmin hasn’t created a way to manually upload a single run for these situations. Asking users to connect their phone to a windows computer and manipulate files is ridiculous. Just fix it! It’s been tormenting Garmin users for years!

    1 . i have this issue since begining 2018 with all garmin models 

    2. Garmin always says that file is corupted for some reason during suyncing but nevwr gave me solution how to avoid file coruption , my concluaion is they do not know why or does not like to tell us 

    3. After 4 years of using garmin wateches I found my self what ia the reason when activity is not synchronized with garmina connect !!!

    4. Before opening garmin connect on your phone and starting syncchronization of the activity make sure that you do not have Connected any decices via bluetooth to you Mobile phone such ear plugs and other that is why when you listening a music while running switch off ear plugs stop musimy on you phone and close all Apps in the phone which are working innthw background then only you can safelly synchronize you arcitivity 

    5z same story when you are using your watch to stream a musieć from watch to bluetooth plugs - disconnect your wątpliwa just switch it off before your activities will finish otherwise there ia a big propabliity of file corruption !!!

  • Usually depends on the model of watch you're using. Some models, especially older ones, are prone to corrupt .fit files. Additionally, if you're using the HRM-Pro, Pro Plus, Tri, or Swim, these chest straps can also corrupt activity fit files.

    If you haven't already, start with attempting a manual upload to Garmin Connect Web - How Do I Manually Upload an Activity I Recorded to Garmin Connect?

    If you get any message other than Import Complete, then there is a problem with the file. Many times these can be repaired using FIT File Tools, using the section remover without any adjustments.

    If that doesn't work, atttach it to this thread. We can take a look to see if it is repairable.

    • Zip the file, then in a reply post Insert >> Image/video/file >> click Upload >> browse for file >> OK.
    • Or upload the fit file to a reputable file sharing service, such as OneDriveGoogle DriveDropbox, make the file public, then paste a link to the file in your post.
