My new personal records are not updated in Garmin Connect. Anyone know how I can force this.

Good to read this. Garmin Support replied to my report with the "copy/paste" article about th PRs from their web.
They didn't understand the problem, or the guy who answered. I explained it again with some screenshots, so now they will understand better, I hope.

What platform did you use to change the activity to Favorite?
