Got a different issue this morning
I ran 11,3 kms and after i saved the activity i got a message telling me that i ran my fastest 10k
When i when on Garmin Connect i saw a similar message in the activity "widget" but i first went to the activity and changed the name.
After that i have been unable too see my new 10k record
It is still showing on the Fenix 3 butr not on Garmin Connect.
For swimming i can set a manual PR by clicking on the setting wheel at the top right corner of the activity but that only works if the distance is the same as the record you want to set so in my case i obviously do not want to set up the time of my 11,3km activity as a new PR for 10km...
Any idea how i could set this new PR ?

same here. I ran my PR half-marathon today, I uploaded it to connect via app and edited the name and description. Post logging onto garmin connect I do not see this as a PR (although my watch says so and it's by far my best time).
I assume that due to the fact that I edited the activity - connect thinks I fiddled with it and may be trying to cheat.
This wasn't like that in the past.
I found the solution just 30sec after posting my complaint!
1. I clicked on activities and got the list of all my activities.
2. I checked today's race and clicked the button ASSIGN PR
3. I checked the right PR category
4. done :)
So, I just ran my first 10km and when I got online I was prompted to accept and keep my records and I did so. Then went to my activity and renamed it as well as updated the gear used. Now those PRs are no longer there and activity is missing the PR trophy as well. In the past I have always been able to edit the activity title, gear and add notes. I made no changes to the actual timing etc.
This is really annoying. How can assign those activities as PRs again? Do I have to decide between keeping PRs OR having cleaner data (renamed/gear assigned) now?!
EDIT: It looks like this stopped working on/after Oct 26, as any records I earned since then that I cleaned up (renamed/assigned gear), are no longer listed as PRs. :(

Found a solution after asking whether it was possible to reload an activity
i deleted my activity on Garmin connect and after i uploaded it manually again with the Fenix 3 connected by USB
it then suggested my new 10k record which had disappeared when i renaned the activity..

I suspect you were not able to rename the activity again?
They need to fix this as we were able to adjust gear and rename activities in the past; it helps me keep my progress organized.
EDIT: I did some more testing. If I delete the activity and import it, the personal records show up but I can only switch the gear (shoes). If I add a category or rename the activity the personal records are removed.
I contacted Garmin to report the bug/usability issue - suggest others do the same.
