iOS 26.3 update broke connectivity with app version 5.21.3

I know there is thread on this here but with new iOS26.3 app is not able to pair with my Enduro 3

Before this iOS update sync was working. I tried everything resetting devices, removing devices from bluetooth, even removing other Garmin apps, Removing devices from web version of Garmin connect, but nothing works...just infinitely searching. Garmin seriously?

Does anyone else have the same issue on new iOS 26.3 ?

  • Running Garmin Connect v5.21.1 and updated yesterday iPhone to v26.3 and Garmin Connect still syncing - no issues. Given this and other user comments suggests it’s the latest updates after GC v5.21.1 that have introduced the syncing issue. Grimacing

  •  - be sure your device is in pairing mode, as that can cause it to not be found when trying to pair. For full troubleshooting steps, visit this link: Device Is Not Paired After Updating My Garmin Connect App on iOS

  • Not the OP but this issue still persists. Even with the other “fixes” that have been posted. I have unpaired and repaired the device more than I care to admit. The watch is connected to the phone, but not with Garmin Connect.

    Fenix 6x Pro running 28.02

    iPhone 17PM running 26.2.1

This is not a new issue, either. This has been happening on ios for some time.

  • For everyone following this, I have finally managed to connect watch to Garmin Connect. After trying everything I resorted back to hacking...(I'm a developer), so I managed to connect watch to old phone with same 5.21.3 connect app. The difference is that old phone is on iOS16, it connected without an issue. Then i removed watch from that old phone and like magic, it connected to the new iOS26.3 via QR code. So my guess is if did a full reset of a watch it would have connected to new iOS26.3...I'm almost certain of that now. So if anyone else experiences a problem when upgrading iOS from 26.2 to 26.3 and you are on latest Garmin Connect 5.21.3, if your watch can't connect to BT on that new iOS, you have to trick the watch to forget that new phone by either connecting it to another device or completely resetting it, in which case you would loose all your data stored on the device. Not ideal...but it is what it is for now.

    For reference:

Watch is Enduro 3 with latest official firmware 20.29

Phone - iPhone 17 Pro Max with latest iOS 26.3

  • Problems still persist.  I'm having issues connecting Forerunner 165 software v27.09.  Running Garmin Connect v5.21.3.4 on iOS v26.3.  Tried deleting app, forgetting device, restarting watch, restarting phone, all multiple times with no luck.

  • Is this ever going to be fixed?

I’ve unpaired and repaired the watch to my phone so many times. It works for a few days then back to breaking.
