Ghost ftp for cross-country skiing? Never ever started an activity!

Same issue, brand new Fenix 8, shows a XC Ski FTP from November 03. Needless to say, I have never done any cross country skiing.

Hi Same problem,

On April 8th 2024  i noticed a drop in FTP from 253 to 200 which corresponded with 2 short commutes on a bike recorded on my Fenix 6 Sapphire and the appearance of a ghost Cross Country Skiing activity (i live on a beach!)

I have been unable to find any activity Calle cross country skiing in my data, i have tried to edit the data with out success I have now manually deleted the files which has had no effect.

I have now manually uplated the FTP with the previous 255.

I notice I am still getting ghost X country skiing events coinciding with my cycling efforts 

at no point did i ever select this as an activity. Please could you help me as it drags my FTP and Watts/kg down

All, if you see a Cross Country Skiing FTP without having any Cross Country Ski activities saved in your account, please reply with the following:

1. In what country do you live?  Australia
2. Do we have your permission to access and view your Garmin Connect account? Yes
3. Please send us a copy of the Garmin Folder from your watch. 
   • Sending a Garmin Folder From a Device to Product Support
4. What model of phone do you use to run the Garmin Connect mobile app? Fenix 6 Sapphire and Edge 1030 plus for cycling 

It is a great shame that this bug still has’nt been solved. Maybe ask DCRainmaker for some help? Garmin is not listening to us.

Have had to buy me a new Forerunner 265 to get excess to this elite club. I'm not amused...

At this point I am 100% convinced that this is some kind of office entertainment for Garmin. I imagine them at the coffee machine - hehehe, have you seen how many we've got today? hehehe

I love my Garmin, but this is total BS!

I’m new to Garmin having just purchased an Epix Pro and just done uploaded a ride from Zwift and also noticed that there is this ghost cross country skiing entry Garmin Connect my FTP page as well as a cycling one.  I have just switched from Apple to Garmin and honestly this doesn’t give me any confidence in the quality of the numbers that I am seeing.  Even more frustrated to see that this issue has been going on for so long. Is there no one at Garmin looking at this?

Complete disrespect from Garmin, or else mere incompetence.

Maybe Garmin should recall all these products, or place a halt on all new development until the can "investigate" this little problem.

What else can Garmin not fix? Which other Algorythms are "broken"?

I dont really trust anything on Garmin connect to be correct.
