Connect app incompatible with iPhone 15.2

My VivoSmart4 will not maintain connection with my Garmin Connect app since iPhone upgraded to 15.2 yesterday. Help! This is frustrating. I did update the app but it’s no help

  • same here, I did all the steps recommended to link Fenix S6 pro to the iPhone 11 after upgrade to 15.2; Garmin service consultant advised me to give the watch to the technical service....

  • All:

Please follow steps in order as shown below:

    1. Remove your watch completely from the Garmin Connect mobile app and from your phone's Bluetooth menu.
    2. Update your Garmin Connect mobile app.
    3. Hard reset your watch.  To perform a hard reset, press and hold the power button on your watch.  Ignore the "Power Off" question and the assistance alert (if applicable) on your watch, just continue holding the power button pressed down until the screen goes blank.  Once this occurs, you may release the button.  Allow the watch to sit powered off for a few seconds, then you may power it back on by pressing and releasing the power button.
    4. Sync your watch with Garmin Express.
    5. Pair your watch to the Garmin Connect mobile app.

If you still get some type of an error message, post a photo of the message on your watch, or a screenshot of the message from the Garmin Connect app on your phone.

  • Hi Kevin, I have followed the above tips for several times and still it is not pairing; on the watch there is "initializing" mode all the time, not moving forward; the phone can't see it in the app...

  • thank you for following those steps.  If you could please, once more, hard reset your watch and update with Garmin Express, we hope that will resolve your issue.  If you still see the "Initializing" message continue on the watch, please reach out to your local Garmin Product Support team, as they will likely need to start a case for you.

To do this, type "support.garmin.com" in your address bar and use the Garmin Support Center to research your issue.  Once you get far enough in the search, you will see (at the bottom of the page) some contact options, which may include Call, Chat, and Email.

  • Same problem with fr45 after iOS update to 15.2

I did all the procedure but nothing changed

  • Contact Garmin Support directly, as mentioned by Garmin-Kevin.

  • I tried my watch with an old iPhone with firmware version 13.3.1 and  it works perfectly so the problem is not the watch.

There is an issue betwenn Garmin Connect and latest iPhone firmware 15.2 (please note that all other bluetooth devices connected works with no issues)

I wrote to garmin support and I hope they solve the issue

  • Same problem with Fenix 6X Pro / Iphone 11 - 15.2 and 15.2.1.... I tried everything. Now I'm thinking of downgrading my ios version. Hopefully there will be a update that fixes the problem soon.

  • My watch was still connected via bluetooth on my Iphone. I deleted the fenix from the bluetooth list and that fixed it for me. Still no wifi networks found (that was the main reason why I deleted the watch in the first place)
