vivosmart 4 syncing issues

My vivosmart 4 is not syncing unless I turn off and on bluetooth......it shows steps in daily screen but not as recorded workouts nor in challenges. Why when I remove the app from my iphone and reinstall, I cannot log in as the same profile, have to set up new id and all previous data is lost?  Some serious issues that need fixing

I've been able to resolve the issue now by putting my Vivosmart 4 on a charger. This makes the watch reset. After the reset, it will sync with the Connect App.

So now after working great for 6

months I have the same problems as so many others... last two days have been hokey, last night on device steps were alternating between 72 and 15500, the latter was accurate but it synced to 72. Today i am at 7500 so far and steps not registering in app despite syncing several times

I have the same problem as well. I have a Fénix 5 and synchronize without any issue. I have to reset the Vivosmart 4 everyday to get it sync with the mobile app. Obviously, there is a problem as there are many people reporting the same issue here.

  • I apologize for not commenting here sooner. We are aware of this issue and we are working on a resolution. I hope to have an update for all of you in the next few days.

  • A quick, perhaps temporary fix, would be as simple as adding a "reboot device" option in the watch settings, I think. It's happened to me multiple times, many of those where I turned off bluetooth on my phone and when I turned it back on I couldn't sync anymore. Plugging it in reboots the device and solves the issue. So just let us do it outside of using the charging cable. Then it's a matter of updating the firmware and if it happens again we have a portable solution.

I returned a vivosmart4 due these issues, and per recommendations from Garmin support.  I got a new one, and am having same issues.  Is this going to be fixed or should I start looking at Fitbits?  You earn and it does not record, or  it records and later takes away things like steps, intensity minutes, exercise sessions... metrics no longer have any credibility - please fix!!!

  • Have my vivosmart 4 for a week now and already have the issue twice. I try everything on this feed but only putting it on charge works. When I check on the synchronization report I got that :

    ------

Please Garmin find a solution or a least a way around to trigger the same function when we put the v4 on charge
