vivosmart 4 syncing issues

My vivosmart 4 is not syncing unless I turn off and on bluetooth......it shows steps in daily screen but not as recorded workouts nor in challenges. Why when I remove the app from my iphone and reinstall, I cannot log in as the same profile, have to set up new id and all previous data is lost?  Some serious issues that need fixing

    Why is there no response from Garmin to this issue? I haven’t been able to sync fully since Dec 31 (aka the last time I charged by Vivosmart; I do not consider charging it as an acceptable solution)

    I am experiencing the same problems. I cannot sync my Vivosmart 4 with the Garmin Connect Mobile iOS. My phone is bluetoother paired, but it will not sync activity to the Garmin App. "Sync Failed", "Device connection error", "Network Connection Error".  Yesterday, after many attempt fully deleting, reseting, and repairing, I finally got it to Sync. However, today, it all started up again. And it will not sync.

  • I started having issues this morning for no reason. Synced my sleep fine. Then I went to the gym and recorded an hour log weight training session and all that has eben updating since is my step count. I don't have the charger with me to try that, but I did try turning off and on bluetooth, reinstalling the app (android) and even garmin connect knew I had activities to sync but it would just forever load in the app :/

    Same here - so frustrating- shouldn’t have to plug it into computer to upload - it used to work and now doesn’t - Garmin please sort it!!

    I'm having the same problem, repeatedly. Even when I seem to fix it, the problem recurs a week later and the same fix doesn't work a second time. There isn't enough information for customers to troubleshoot the problem. I'm just trying random combinations of bluetooth on/off, re-pairing, power-cycling the phone, voodoo dolls, nothing is a repeatable solution.

    Hi! It seems I have the same issue: iOS (updated), Connect app (updated), Vivosmart 4 shows as connected (in its screen) and shows heart rate (live), intensity minutes and workouts detected (after what seems to be some kind of sync). When I tap on sync (main screen), it completes the circle without telling me any error but without getting any data from the Vivosmart. And, when asked to sync from the device screen, then the red exclamation mark appears and it says "Sync failed, Device connection error". Any idea how to fix this or when it will be fixed? Thanks!

    This is wonderful IF you have a computer. Not a solution. Garmin needs to get their stuff together. I have had this two weeks no issues and now non stop syncing problems. I just take it back. I have no time to piss around and have tried everything. Welcome to Garmin where we have no customer service and *** product.

    Note the only way I succeed in syncing my Vivosmart 4 is when either 1) it's charging or 2) if the battery is very high (like just fully charged the previous night). So maybe there is a fault in the software and it doesn't allow to sync unless the battery charge is very high.

    Yeah no more garmin products for me, ever.

    Anyone have any solution to this issue? it sucks that I have to plug it to the computer...this sucks because i just bought the venu when i could have spent the money on other brand.
