Map is dark after iOS13 update

After updating to iOS13 the standard map looks too dark and is very hard to read. Can we have the old one back???

    Agree.  Don't like the dark maps.

    This is a disaster. The Google Maps GPS link is critical for me. If Garmin doesn't reverse this decision I will change to a different watch and sell my Fenix 5 Plus. Seriously. I live in Japan and Google Maps has an adequate English map service. Not great but good enough. And not "dark" either. Apple Maps is a piece of *** and the Japan coverage is both limited and Japanese language only. Forget it Garmin. Loved you but need to say good-bye.

    No user33, this was a commercial decision. Apple Maps are trying to rescue their failed map app and will have offered Garmin either significantly lower - or zero - license fee to edge out Google Maps who offer a superior product. Simple as that. Shame on you Garmin.

    Yes, bring back Google maps! or let us choose! The dark maps are awful and pretty much useless on the iphone.

    Absolutely hate the apple maps and especially the dark maps. Garmin fix this! Switch back to Google maps or at least let us choose.

    Perhaps this is related to the fact that Google is buying FitBit?

    I can't read the black map on my phone. Luckily I'm post-marathon and not running much but I'll stop using the garmin if the black map is still there when I start training again.  Please switch back.
