Map is dark after iOS13 update

After updating to iOS13 the standard map looks too dark and is very hard to read. Can we have the old one back???

I just noticed that today too - I don’t think it’s the iOS 13 update doing it because it was fine after that. It looks to me that the maps have been switched to Apple maps instead of Google - if anyone…

Well look at that... I just got an app update for Garmin Connect and the maps are now showing up light once again! They are still using Apple maps, but I never had a complaint about that. Yay for lighter…

It is more complicated than you described it.

First I do not have Apple maps on my iphone, I removed it a long time ago.

Thus it is a bit strange that GC can use it, but it obviously neglects it, just…

Agree it’s the app. Both my iPhone and iPad on 13.1.3. iPhone has latest version of GC app whilst iPad has previous version. iPhone using Apple map, iPad using Google.

Garmin please switch back as dark maps are horrid

Yes, the usability of the black map is really bad. That is not an improvement. Not everything needs to be changed during the time. So please change back!!!

I don’t like the dark maps either on iOS. Please switch back to the lighter version OR give us an option to toggle and select whichever style we prefer.

It’s terrible with dark view. I understand some people like that view so why not include an option switch for light or dark mode, or just control it from IPhone settings.
