I had this problem and fixed it. The issue is probably that the .fit file is corrupt/damaged. Plug your watch into your computer and open the drive, then go to activities and find the activity in question…
Metrics like steps were loading but activities were not. I also could upload the files manually so they weren't corrupted. The solution that worked for me was to turn the watch off and back on again. After…
Exact situation and they try to make it sound rare I have a one plus phone.
My .fit file was broken, but the URL http://garmin.kiesewetter.nl/ doesn’t work anymore. Found https://fitfiletoolscom/
I managed to fix this issue for one activity that wouldn’t sync to the iPhone app by connecting the Fenix6 directly to Wi-Fi. It appeared in Garmin Connect almost immediately and ironically, I got a notification from Garmin Connect on my iPhone to say that it was ready.
I’ve used this step, but somehow the website said it cannot repair the corrupted/damaged file. Second time I’ve had this issue, previously with Forerunner 945, and now with Forerunner 955. Can anyone help me to recover/fix the corrupted file? Even the data for my run inside the watch now seems to be missing data after the failed sync on garmin express
Can anyone help me to recover/fix the corrupted file?
Yes. We can take a look at the fit file and attempt to repair it for you.
Here is the file as per requested, ill be really grateful if you can have a look at it, thank you so much
This will work - D1AM1755-fixed.zip
This one I was able to fix using FIT File Tools section remover without any adjustments.
I don't see a lot of requests for fixing corrupt files from a Forerunner 955, but seeing that you used an HRM-Pro, I suspect that might be the reason for the corruption. See below.
HRM-Pro, Tri, and Swim will sometimes corrupt activity fit files
- Update the HRM firmware How Do I Update the HRM-Pro Software Using the Garmin Connect App?
- Note that HR data download after the activity is usually for swimming or when for some reason you could not wear your watch during an activity.
- During the HRM-Pro download process keep the strap and watch in close proximity
- If issues persist even after the firmware update, contact Garmin Support

Thanks a lot man, I really do appreciate it! So after this I shouldn’t be downloading the HR value after my run? No matter if it’s indoor or outdoor activity?
Right, unless there is a reason you cannot wear the watch during the activity.
I see, thank you again mate, if you’re ever in Malaysia, give me a shout I’ll bring you out for some good foods here!
