Garmin Support have asked me to take screen video and Connect App logs.
I'll need to download video app to get a video illustrating error, they've given me code to send app logs. Hoping to get this done…
I found that if I clicked on the faulty flickering map, it opens it a new tab but its complete. Not as useful as the original, but OK for a temporary fix until Garmin provide a new version
Yes, got an update of the GC app today.... bug still there
No one else has this issue? Already tried reinstalling GC, but problem remains.
Hi I have similar issue with map of round of golf. For me it seems to display a small part of the map at the bottom and then flicker the rest of the image. Like you, if I click on map its fine.
It started with me about 6 weeks ago, previously worked fine on my Instinct 2 Solar and Android Connect
I'm wondering it its an update in either Connect, Android or Golf App
I'm currently on Connect 5.3, Golf 2.18.1 and Android 10 (old phone not many updates for that)
I'm running Android 13. Latest Connect version. A friend has an iPhone, and doesn't have the issue. Seems to be an Android only issue.
I agree it looks like an Android issue, and the fact that its on both 10 and 13 indicates to me its something basic. Can you think of anything we can do e.g. we both log a call with Garmin support? As I said I don't get many Android updates now., but I do recall getting a security patch a couple of months ago that might be a clue.
Garmin support is a joke. I can predict there first response when you open a ticket...please reinstall app :-)
I've logged an issue with support (I'm in UK). Not expecting much , but you never know. They say initial response in 2 days.
You said you re-installed and it made no difference, so I wont bother yet. I'll wait and see what they say.
I'm assuming its the connect app as displays OK within Golf App, but it is useful at the end of golf round to get a summary before looking at details.

I did eventually get a response last wednesday (7th). Unfortunately it simply asked for more info - serial no. app version etc.
I replied same day with what they asked for plus examples . Went down the same black hole I think. Not impressed so far , but not surprised
So standard Garmin support... totally pointless.
Yes, experiencing same problem. The map looks stretched, not readable. Sometimes it flickers the correct map but settles in the buggy map. showing full map doesn't work either .. how do you "call complete map"?
