Garmin Connect app broken for Android tablets. Watch won't pair with the 4.75 release

Is the app broken for Android tablets? My watch won't pair with the 4.75 release of the app. Last successful sync was with 4.74.1

I do see the other posts in a related thread and can also see the complaints on the play store that indicate others are having the exact same problem. So I know I am not raising something new here.

But I was just on a chat with support and they said there is no known issue related to tablets. I would liked to know if Garmin is saying that the current version of the app does work with Android tablets (suggesting that I have some hardware problem) or if there is a fix coming. Does anyone have any info here?

I am very sorry for this disruption and for the frustration that it has caused. I can confirm that this only affects Android tablets.

We have an upcoming fix, but I am not sure when it will be released…

Thank you for your patience as we investigated and tested this fix. Garmin Connect (Android) Mobile version 4.76 has begun rolling out and will be available to everyone soon.

My samsung S24 plus does not discover my epix gen 2

It works fine on other sasmung devices. I have turning on and off, but no luck. My old samsung DOES discover the epix when I set it to pairing?

Anyone else familiar with this issue on perhaps other devices?

They didn't open a case, they offered an exchange. No follow up, which is why I came here...

I've never paired it with anything else, I switched over from a fitbit about 4 months ago and have always used my tablet. I was loving garmin until now!

My newish Samsung s6 was working ok but not after the update.

I have uninstalled reinstalled and now my Fenix 3HR will not connect to the app.

Surely Garmin must provide some info. This is time consuming and frustrating

I posted on the other thread but, in brief, sync works for me on my Android 12 phone but not my Android 9 tablet. I reinstalled 4.74.1 on my tablet as, I hope, a temporary measure.

I have installed 4.75 on a mobile phone and that worked. It helped me prove that the watch was not broken. With 4.75 on a Samsung tablet with the same android version as the phone it doesnot work. I have said that on the other thread about 4.75 crashes. Garmin are either not bothering to look at that thread or they are lying. Not good for Garmin
