Ah, OK, in that case it should work with the USB ANT Stick and Garmin Express
However, the manual for Vivofit tells the device updates via Garmin Connect as well:

If you cannot sync, you need to troubleshoot that problem first. Use the tips in this thread.
The trouble I face is that I can see, the watch doesn't have the latest software. However since I cannot do acomplete syncronization through Garmin Connect, nor establish a bluetooth connection with Garmin Express, I left not knowing what to do...

Hi trux.
I was finally able to download the updated software. After going through all the possible steps in the troubleshooting guide (without any luck) and trying 3 different devices, it finally worked, when I paired my watch with an Ipad.
Now I just hope that this new software makes it possible for my watch and my phone to connect well with one another.
