Update Bluetooth Connection in Connect Mobile for Android

I cannot connect my two Bq aquaris X-pro, after the android oreo 8.1 update.

I connect garmin fenix 5X to one and garmin fenix 3 to another.

None of the work after i loose connection.

I need to clear app cache and data, then bluetooth cache and data, and pair the watches again... but when i get out range they don't connect anymore (fenix 3 and fenix 5x).

I have the latest firmware in fenix 3 and the last beta in fenix 5x.

So far i have:
1) hard reset both watches;
2) hard reset both phones;
3) turned on connect aid;
4) turned off connect aid;
5) turn on and off the baterry optimization on the phones in the connect iq app and bluetooth app;
Etc, etc...

Nothing works....
Both watches connected well before the android oreo 8.1.0 update.

Bq Aquaris phones have allmost a stock android version.

I had garmin fenixs since the version 3 came out and always Bq phones.... This has happened before in the last 3 or 4 years... It is always solved by a watch firmware update or a connect mobile update.

I talked to Bq. They told me they trying to solv the problem.

Until then, they told me that garmin connect mobile 3.20.3 works.

I've tryed it, and it really works without any problem.

It connects the fenix 5x when you get out of range and return again (the latest version of garmin connect mobile never connected again until you pair and unpair the watch from the phone)

It even connects the watch without internet, but obviously just the calls and SMS (good when you travel and don't want to use mobile data to reconnect the watch and the phone...)

My Nokia 7+ with Android 8, just updated to 8.1 and within seconds og restarting the phone, my vivoactive 3 connected to the phone automatically. I hope it lasts :-)

I have recently purchased a Garmin vivoactive 3 watch switching from Polar to Garmin for my first Garmin watch. I have noticed that my Bluetooth will disconnect other devices for example I'm in my car and it will disconnect my phone while I'm in the middle of a conversation. Or I'm listening on a Bluetooth speaker and it will disconnect and reconnect. The same for my headphones and I have to hit play again because the song pauses when Bluetooth disconnects and reconnects. I did a Google search and found a report that the Garmin Connect app was the cause of this. I uninstalled the Garmin Connect app on a long road trip made several phone calls and everything works fine. Reinstalled the app and I was getting random disconnects again while talking on the phone in my car via Bluetooth. Has anyone else experienced this? S7 Verizon

Yes. Same thing happening here. I found that it's actually crashing my bluetooth on my phone. I've tried a host of things and still trying to narrow down exactly what is going on. My thread on it is here:

Could you describe how you got it working? I needed to uninstall the latest version, otherwise the 3.20.3 refused to install. But once I got it installed, it did not let me connect the watch, as it just asks for either install the latest version or cancel:(
