Daily step count doesn't match the stats count

Hi, my daily step count on my watch says 10,004 and yet in the stats it says 5,087. The time on the watch is set to Auto, I've reset the app and the watch and the entries are still incompatible. I see there LOTS of complaints about this already, but no solutions. Can you help?

    I have the same problem.  Very frustrating when you achieve your target and the next day it’s reduced!  

    Garmin need to respond to this with a solution , I can see multiple posts re this issue going back years.  I hope there is a solution or I’ll be binning the garmin.

    So, no response from Garmin, but I restarted my watch for a second time and now everything's updating as it should. Feel a bit dumb for not having done that sooner. Hope this helps someone else Slight smile

    I had same problem.  Called Garmin, they told me to restart watch. I did that, no problems since. That was 10 days ago and I walk as an activity every day.
