My lily 2 active is connected to the garmin connect app but it doesn’t appear on the garmin connect iq app, I’ve tried unpairing it, deleting the app, restarting my iphone and watch and it still won’t work, any suggestions?

The Lily Active 2 is not compatible with the Connect IQ app.
This is a disingenious answer - the Lily cannot use connect IQ apps / watch faces, that is why it does not sync. Garmin is not open enough about this.

It is true that Garmin does not warn on the Specs page that Lily does not support Connect IQ. But so it works for all other features that are not available on the watch. The specs only lists available options. And Connect IQ is not listed in the specs of Lily, hence it is clear it does not support it.
If you want to see options that Lily (or any other watch) does not have, then the best way to see it, is by comparing it to one of the top models. For example here:
