After installing the new Express version 7.18.0 and syncing my Forerunner 45, I found that all saved activities were gone. The log was empty.
I had this trouble before with version 7.13.0 and ask that this be corrected, thank you very much!

The issue has been resolved in a just released when updated to Garmin Express version 7.18.1.
Has anyone opened a case with Garmin Product Support? I'm chatting with them now.

Any chance to get these files back?
Not necessarily needed and can even cause issues if you have excessive activities stored on your watch. If you feel the need, I would just download the last…
Based on the comments on https://community.chocolatey.org/packages/garmin-express
It seems that this is pretty normal way how Garmin Express team works. Release crap, silently pull the versions.
Fenix 6x. Same thing happened and history cleared but Connect ok.
Strangely, with Express running I opened Connect on computer and exported four activities to computer (windows 10) into computer’s download folder. I went to move downloaded files and they deleted from computer. Weird.
I then shutdown Express and copied the four activities again and they remained in Windows 10 Downloads.
Oh no it isn't! I tried that, Garmin Express "closes unexpectedly". Same every time. Even deleting all Garmin folders from local AppData directory and ProgramData doesn't fix it, which means I can't get it to run at all. OS is Windows 11. If anyone has successfully gone back from 7.18 to 7.17.3, please tell me exactly what you did as I'm currently stuck without any working version, and I've spent half a day already trying to fix it.
I don't know why Garmin didn't simply re-release 7.17.3 as 7.18.1 as that would have meant the downgrade would have been seen as an update and worked automatically.
Well. That is what I exactly did and went back successfully. Ok, exactly, I had the two steps, which I thought to be extraneous, so exactly what I did was:
I don't think releasing 7.17.3 as 7.18.1 would work as the 7.18.0 changed something that the old version doesn't like. But I don't think fixing this kind of easily reproducible bug wouldn't be big task to just release 7.18.1 fixing the issue.
And if you have deleted files manually? From where have you tried deleting them? All the places under AppData is deleted, eg. Local and Roaming ones.
