Garmin Express will not launch on my Windows 11 PC

I have two laptops, one is an older Win 10 machine, and I have a new Win 11 machine.  The Win 10 machine works fine with Garmin Express.  Garmin Express will not launch on the new Win 11 machine.  Everything else works fine on the new Win 11 machine

GE downloads and installs fine.  When I try try to launch GE nothing happens.  I get no message or spinning wheel, I get nothing.

I have installed and uninstalled GE multiple times.

I am at a loss at this point.  Any help would be appreciated 

Windows 11 is at the current release and up to date.  The Win 11 machine has 32 GB of RAM and almost a TB of available disk.

    @JohnfromPA, thanks for mentioning that "S" version.  I had forgotten about it.  I wouldn't think it would allow the installer to run since it only allows apps from the Microsoft Store.

    @6586880, you say that GE "will not launch".  What happens when you try to start it?

    I am running 11 Pro, and cannot get the new version to install on my computer either.

    Mine "appears" to install ok, but nothing happens when I try to launch it.  Have you contacted Garmin Support?

    A few years back, I had similar issues in the GE would not start, or did but only on rare occasions.  I located the executable and had Windows 10 do a compatibility check.  Windows said the best compatibility was Windows 8, which I allowed, and it has been fine ever since and probably through a 1/2 dozen updates.

    Checking the executable indicates no problem with windows compatibility (am running Windows 11 Pro), running it as an administrator also does not successfully install. In short, Garmin's BETA testing was not adequate, again.  From past issues (with a different computer and a different device), it took several months for Garmin to get around to a previous install issue, so I expect this time will be at least that long, maybe longer,

    Hi, 

    Garmin Express v7.16.3 can't be installed on my computer

    Version 7,14.0.0 works but it suggests to update.

    I had similar problem with window10 on new computer too.
    I described it on forums.garmin.com/.../garmin-express-versions-7-16-1-0-in-windows-10-pro-22h2-does-not-work

    New computer usually does not have any installed VC_redist Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable packages.
    in this case the Garmin Express installs some version VC_redist.x86.exe.

    In my case, VC_redist.x86.exe Version 2015-2019, which does not has MSVCP140.dll and VCRUNTIME140.dll.
    With resent update GE ver.7.16.3.0 reinstall bugged version Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2015-2019 again.

    To fix this problem go to microsoft website:
    learn.microsoft.com/.../latest-supported-vc-redist
    and download corrected version Visual Studio 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2022 - X86:
    aka.ms/.../vc_redist.x86.exe
    and install it.

    You may keep previous version or uninstall it - they do not interfere.
    And, I think you do not need reinstall GE.

    I try to install so many times,but not work.

    So I drop to install the new version.

    I suggest to disabled the nertwork first,open the GE second.You can jump the new version check.

    Enable the network.

    You are free.

    Version starting from 7.16.1.0 to 7.16.3.0 not work

    V.7.15.0 works great

    It has been a month since I tried to launch GE.

    I uninstalled it today and reinstalled from the Garmin website.

    Garmin Express still will not launch.
