I keep getting Express.exe error when I shutdown PC.

I keep getting Express.exe error when I shutdown PC. Using 7.3.0.0 - What to do?

  • I'm getting this same error also.

    I notice is that it only happen if i plug a garmin device to sync before shutdown, this error will popup if i didn't plug a Garmin device to it before then the error wont popup even its running at the background.

  • That's interesting. However, a couple of days ago, I tried restarting my computer 3 times and I got the error the second time I restarted. In that case I had not synced my Garmin Edge 1030

  • I emailed Garmin Support today. Awaiting reply.

    To stop getting the error message just remove Garmin Express in Control Panel.

    If i need to use the programme I reinstall it and remove it after use.

    Should Garmin give me an alternative solution I will report it to you all.

    I too have reported the error to Garmin and heard back from them today:

    "We have added you into an open investigation which will be used to determine the cause of this issue which we are looking into currently. Using the information provided they will test and reach a suitable resolution which will then be supplied to you directly by email.

    We cannot provide a time frame for this process as it depends on what is discovered during the investigation and what is required to resolve the issue.

    Any updates will come to you directly via email as an affected user of this case"

    I'll report back to the forum when Garmin have emailed the next update to me and if the issue has been fixed

    I don't see the need to remove Express. The functionality is fine. Occasionally, I have to click on OK when the error message pops up when I shut my computer down, but that's no big issue for me 

  • Any Garmin device. I had a Venu and Edge 1030+ even I plug my Venu to sync or charge the Error will popup if I shutdown. I just need to close the popup and windows shutdown as normal. 

  • Thanks for the update. Hope Garmin will resolve this cosmetic issue ASAP. 

  • A new version of Express is now available. Please start a new thread if the problem persists with 7.3.1.0
