The problem is I can't install TopoActive Europe 2020.10 to my Fenix, it goes to 50% then crashes and tells it can't install. I tried restarting PC, reinstalling Garmin Express and changing USB ports.

Same problem here. 6X Pro Solar. I've tried repeatedly, reinstalled GE from scratch, wiping all GE files, and even resorted to factory reset of the watch.

Sounds like an issue that requires a call to Garmin ...
I just tried and have encountered the same what others have: maps are getting downloaded to 'C:\ProgramData\Garmin\CoreService\Downloads\Map\Map_Map.ActiveEU.2020.10' - which takes progress bar up to 50…
I have read in the "german forum" that someone tried a USB2.0 Port to connect his fenix during the update. This works for him. I have tried it to in this moment.
I' now at nearly 59% without any error:

Your GE v7.0 is working as it should? Mine always shows the popup: "Sorry, we're having a problem communicating with our servers" - tried everything without any luck. Roll back to the previous version and it works, but I can't update maps :(
It definitely does, and I think I witnessed "Sorry, we're having a problem communicating with our servers" error only twice, and am not convinced it was Garmin's fault.

Thank you all for reporting this, the issue is now fixed on our end. Please try updating your maps again and post if you're still encountering issues.
Andrew, Garmin Express 7.0 showing "Request Error: Sorry, we're having a problem communicating with our servers". I'm on Windows 10 with all latest updates. If I uninstall GE 7.0 and install previous version - everything is connecting. Tried on two different machines - same result. Any advice?
