We are sorry you are experiencing issues with Spotify on your watch. If the Spotify App is failing to download in the Connect IQ Store App, please make sure the software is up to date on your watch, then try again. Also, before attempting to download the Spotify App, make sure the watch isn't actively syncing in the Garmin Connect App. Since network issues or firewalls can prevent downloads from completing, you can try using a different WiFi network or attempt downloading using mobile data. You can also try installing Spotify with Garmin Express on a computer.

We are sorry you're experiencing issues with your Spotify content. If your playlists aren't updating or have disappeared, please confirm that your Spotify Premium subscription is active and check to see if you have exceeded your limit of offline devices on your Spotify account. Also, check for updates to the Spotify app in Garmin Connect, and use Garmin Express to check for software updates for your watch. If you're still unable to sync or playback content, please contact Product Support so we can assist you directly.

We are sorry you're experiencing issues signing in to Spotify. If you don't see the prompt to sign in to Spotify in Garmin Connect App, please try the following:

    1. Force-close the Garmin Connect App on your phone
    2. Restart your watch
    3. Go to Music on the watch
You should see a message to open Garmin Connect App
    4. Open Garmin Connect App and stay on the My Day page until the message to sign in to Spotify appears
    5. Select Sign In

If you're still unable to sign in to Spotify, please contact Product Support so we can help you directly.

  • Former Member We're sorry Spotify isn't working on your vivoactive 4S. It sounds like your watch may need a software update. If you have attempted updating the software using Garmin Connect App, if the watch is multiple versions behind in software, the update may not go through Garmin Connect App via Bluetooth. If this is the case, you can try updating the watch with Garmin Express -- this article has steps: Installing the Latest Software to Your Fitness Device. After updating the software, you may need to remove the Spotify App then add it again. If it still isn't working, please contact Product Support so we can help more directly.

We are sorry you're experiencing issues syncing your Spotify content. If your Spotify content is failing to sync, please ensure that the software on your watch is up to date and that you are connected to a secure WiFi network (preferably a home network rather than a work network). If you share a WiFi network with others, it may help to coordinate usage so that no other streaming or downloading is occurring while you are syncing Spotify data so that your bandwidth isn't limited. Also, make sure your watch has plenty of battery life before attempting to sync. If it is still failing to sync, please contact Product Support so we can assist you directly.

  • Just purchased my Garmin fenix 5 Plus and getting it setup.

I was able to successfully download and install the Spotify CIQ App.

I was not able to download songs/playlist from Spotify over my home Wi-Fi.

I received a prompt on my fenix 5 Plus, to connect it to my mobile device first.

Not sure why I need to connect the watch to my phone, to have it download songs from Spotify, when the watch is already connected to my home Wi-Fi. (Is this the problem being worked on?)

Once I connected it to my phone, I was able to browse to the playlist that I wanted to download to the fenix 5 Plus.

I was able to download and playback songs from the fenix 5 Plus to my Trekz Titanium Headphones.

    Pixel 3XL
    Android 10
    Trekz Titanium Headphones
    Garmin fenix 5 Plus
    Garmin Software Version 11.00
I am setting up Spotify for the first time on the watch.
Using my private home Wi-Fi Connection

Wish we could add/download songs from Spotify within Garmin Express (Leverage the "Music" card), rather than fiddling with watch buttons.

I can't login to my Spotify account anymore. I was logged in before but now it won't.
