#pacepalm moment over here.  I finally decided to turn off both my phone and watch and turn them back on.  After everything reconnected and synced, I opened the Connect app and I was prompted to login to Facebook.  My playlist is now downloading onto my watch.

Spotify worked fine on my Garmin vicoactive music 3. Then suddenly it could see playlists but wouldn't play anything. I have removed Spotify and readded but when I try and login again I just get "error occured". Everything up to date and sync not in process when I'm trying to log in to Spotify. Watch says "Open Garmin mobile on your phone to log into Spotify". But it won't let me log in

I have a Vivoactive 4S and am trying to use it with an iPhone XS. I tried to download playlists to Spotify on my watch a couple months ago, and it would get about 80% through downloading and then quit. Just wouldn’t go through. So I tried again yesterday and my watch kept saying “media error occurred” or “IQ!” anytime I even tried to get to the music widget. So today I attempted to uninstall Spotify and reinstall it. Now my music widget will pull up but the second page with the shuffle and repeat icons are fuzzy, as well as the headphone connector icon. I cannot even click Spotify on the music providers list. It just glitches and gets no response. Idk what the deal is, but the downloading music feature was the only reason I bought this watch, so help would be appreciated.

I have an iPhone XS and vivoactive 4S. I tried to download playlists to the Spotify app on my watch a little while back and it would just stop downloading altogether at about 80% completion. Idk why. So I attempted again yesterday, but my watch wouldn’t even let me use the music widget. It kept saying “media error occurred” or “IQ!” So today, I uninstalled Spotify and then reinstalled it, and now my music widget on the second page with the repeat and shuffle icons appears fuzzy. I cannot click Spotify on the music providers list because it does nothing. It just appears to glitch. This feature (downloading and playing music directly from my watch) was the only reason I even bought it in the first place so help would be appreciated.

  • I've got the FR945. What happened was, originally when I downloaded it and installed the app on my watch, when I went into the app on my watch it asked me to log back into Garmin Connect Mobile to login to Spotify. Then when I logged into GCM - Music - Spotify, the option was only displaying as uninstall or view app on web... Basically what happens is that you have to install the app and go into the app the first time on your watch, while mobile is turned on. If you don't do it all at once, it appears that the ability to sign into spotify through the GCM stops being an option.

Even if your original Spotify logon attempt didn't work, I had to uninstall to be provided another logon attempt. Maybe a logon button to initiate sign into spotify on the GCM would be a good fix.

    Hope this makes sense.
