Apple M1 Compatibility Issues???

Development of VIRB Edit ceased before Apple M1 was even conceived. Started having issue when Mojave was released...

I didn't know development had stopped.  Is this officially announced somewhere?

For what it's worth, I haven't had any special issues on my M1.

So you are using VIRB Edit on a 2020 Mac Mini M1 with no problems? I am considering buying an M1 mainly for video editing and having VIRB Edit would convince me to buy one.

Actually I am using it on a MacBook Pro M1 without any major issues.  The only real annoyance is that the inport data sometimes don't show correctly.  I generally generally delete the imports from virb edit after using them so that it isn't a practical issue.  

Sorry, what I meant to say was the "import date".  This issue also happens on my Intel based MacBook Pro. 

Thing is the Mac Mini M1 has the Silicon 8 core which might not work with the 'old' Virb Edit architecture. I use Resolve 17 so no problem with the main editor but I do like using VIRB Edit when editing a cycle ride for all the on screen data you can show.

I'm a Windows user and would also lose other programs I'm familiar with and use regular as well as the data. Might just be better upgrading my Windows desktop even though it won't be quite as fast as the Mac Mini. 

Near as I can tell It doesn't work with GoPro 10 files under Rosetta 2. They have to be converted to H.264 first.

You can tell the Hero10 to write HEVC+H264. I do this with 2.7k/60fps and then these files do not need to be converted to H264. havecamerawilltravel.com/.../
