Film Testing - Autumn 2025

The Morvan stages seem to be now tested, still awaiting the new feature. Apparently, it works!

I'm busy now making some films from the remaining Thailand footage. These will have to be tested asap if they show up, as tacx wants these out now in November, just when everyone heads inside to see what new content we have.

In the meantime, I'm publishing some of the hopefully amazing rides filmed this summer, which will not be released this winter, so no rush.  At least there will be something new while you wait.

  • There's a Facebook page?

Its an old private Tacx RLV Beta test group from before this rather retro open forum became live, nobody's joined it for years, Its got some of the older staff at Tacx on it along with the original testing team so I can keep them in the loop a bit about whats being filmed etc...not really posted much this year though & cirtainly not anything more then is available in here. Your not missing anything :-)

  • v1 Finestre 2

    TDM - 50% / RFI - 100%. BT. Morning's weight is 64,9 kg. Average power - 2.3 W/kg.

Last 11.91 km. All very good!

Nice new road. Сyclists appeared )))

There's no window with the remaining time and gradients.

  • Are you using the desktop app for your testing? Since my beta upgraded over the weekend, I lost the Finestre rides with 74.2 version... I did the first one on the weekend, but after the update they all disappeared...

Tacx did an update that linked to a sandboxed smaller collection of rides.I was supposed to get the Thailand rides into Beta,  I guess its something to do with the testing of the new feature?  in any case if you want to test anything new this week best not update or use an older Beta.

  • Yes, I use Windows Desktop app.

For technical reasons, I can't update the app. Microsoft is blocking me.

    This has saved me.

  • Here is what Ive made when I did the Finestre (for real as its been on my personal bucket list) seemed a crime to not re-film it after that incredible stage of the Giro this year! My original plan had been to film south over the Izoard into Italy & the Fousto Coppi GF route (which I've also filmed inside the event that Garmin was a sponsor of....kind of a last-minute discovery!). Anyway the Agnel was suddenly closed for road works hence the out & back of the Montgenevre.. it adds something to Beta that interests me personally.

Pic of me doing my bucket list climb of Finestre with some gravel wheels (wife has the helmet haha)

  • I just accidently found out that I can find these Finestre rides through the world map in the new beta. I think....

I was browsing through Ireland on the world map in Beta and I noticed a lot of "atlantic coast" rides being there which I'm unable to find through search, so I was thinking maybe the same is happening for these Finestre rides.
It also lists both "v6 Finestre 3" and "v7 Finestre 3" on the map.

  • Yep.. I looked on the map a few minutes ago, and it shows on the map, but not on the new movies list...

The Atlantic Coast are old rides from about 2014, I made them ready during Covid in case we were unable to get any footage, but we could get to places like Norway that year so this old stock was not needed in the end.

I dont think you will be able to get to Finestra via the map if you cant see it in the menu.
