Film Testing Aug - Sep 2025

Hi all

its been a while, I hope you are all enjoying the summer & have got some great real world cycling in!

There is a new feature being added to the TacxApps that should be something much larger then the sum of its parts. In any case for now on our side you will notice oddly named stages with some very short ones often only a few kilometers long or less.  Please test these if you can! I expect someone from Tacx will, at some point, explain what's going on when the time is right to test.

We have filmed some stunning new locations: the rugged west coast of Ireland, the rolling Morvan hills, a revamped Alpine Tour with a refilmed Colle delle Finestre (on both gravel sides!), the picturesque Barolo vineyards in Italy, and a two-part ride through the Luberon in southern Provence. The ride library is absolutely stacked again! Some of these routes will have multiple stages and cover serious distance, so there’s plenty to explore.

To kick things off, I’m publishing a mix of regular stage-based rides, some of which will let you test the new feature once it’s live. You’ll spot these in the app—they’ll have a “J” in the version number. So, keep an eye out

  • I've ridden v2 46a_Kamloops1, v2 46a_Kamloops2, v2 14a_Vernon to Kelowna City Part, v2 14b_Goats Peak Regional Park and i've found no issues.

  • v9J Gap Of Dunloe 1 (Ireland)

    TDM - 100% / RFI - 100%. BT. Morning's weight is 63.9 kg. Average power - 1.86 W/kg.

    All very good!

  • v2 14a_Vernon to Kelowna City Park (Canada)

    TDM - 100% / RFI - 100%. ANT+. Morning's weight is 63.6 kg. Average power - 2.17 W/kg.

    Only first 26.89 km.

6.26 km - after the car stopped. The gradient quickly decreases.
    7.15 km - similarly.
12.25 km - on the descent, the gradient drops very sharply. Then the car stopped.

I would like to suggest 2 small improvements:
    - A bit after 6,15km there is rough transition while ascending. Maybe due to standstill, maybe not. In any case I would recommend smoothing it out a bit to prevent the sudden drop in resistance.
    - the climb in the middle is worthy of a KOM. More than a km and pretty steep.

Fixed cheers also added a KOM
