  • Coll de Rates is beatiful view!

For sure, I bet the majority of the riders that ride Coll de Rates never see this view though (this is the top of the extra climb thats hidden above Rates called…

  • Thats what I did.  Its not a big deal  I only mentioned it because I thought you might have the capability to reduce the torque fluctuations at low cadence.  I will try to get fitter so I can take the hills at higher speed/cadence anyway

  • I tried v1 Eroica Espania 2 yesterday.

Nice surroundings and the use of different road-feel is nice. I can't remember I ever noticed the type of road-feel used at the start (tiles?).
On the rougher terrain (sandy parts) it felt like the bike/camera was in the air, haha.

All those hikers with sticks must have been annoying. Jumping to the left or right or just stay in the middle.

I've noticed two little things which might be worthy to check:
    1) In the first downhill of the first KOM the resistance felt a bit high (I would expect my cadence to be much higher with the negative gradients shown on screen. Maybe the section is just not long enough)
    2) Halfway(?) the second longer KOM there is a sudden drop in resistance for 1-2 second (probably because of resuming / the video cut). It would be great if this can be fixed.

The last bump/hill with the steep gradient looks visually less steep then the gradient shown on screen. Not really an issue.

    T2023.43 - v1 Eroica Espania 2.

Nice video, good profile. But there are a few notes.

    1. 7.7 km and 15.33 km. Out on the road. I would move the slope 30 meters forward.

    2. 12.5 km and 34.24 km. Before stop bike, a negative slope for one - two seconds.

    3. 20.9 - 21.2 km - the slope looks greater than in the video. Maybe the camera hasn't stabilized yet.

good feedback for 1 & 2 noted, for point 3 this is slightly older footage so using the 6K camera which uses a gimbal that can only point up the road the same direction as Bertha. Its only the newer camera (aka the Chicken) which points directly at the horizon. It tough to spot the difference, but the easy way is the angle of view is a fair bit wider on this footage (same as Mallorca Alpine Classic etc).  The newer camera uses almost the same FOV as the Asia team footage.

  • Thanks Phil, I'll look at the angle of view.

  • v1 Eroica Espania 1

Great ride. Reminds me a bit of one of those city trip courses.

I've noticed only 1 issue and that was on the real steep slope before the last KOM and it might be totally unrelated to the Video, but I'll share...
The resistance of the trainer continued for too long. It felt really weird as the resistance being applied was for a 20% gradient and the max slope was already completed on-screen. After 3 to 5 seconds the resistance dropped to expected level.
After this issue I also noticed road-feel continuing the whole way to the end of the video. Because of this 'known issue' and nobody else mentioning problems with this climb I'll guess we can put it on the trainer :)

Oh, and the camera did not seem to enjoy riding into that wall after passing halfway hehe...
