  • Col du Sanetsch. 100/100%.

Everything worked well. And the road is beautiful. Especially the waterfall. I even reduced the power.

  • Today I tried theTrollsteigen. In my opinion the hill is a little too long. The message top of Trollsteigen appears in the descent.

Good find V4 fixes this & I've added the cattle grid effect for the metal grid-shape section of the ramp as you ride onto the ferry at the end!

  • I also rode v3 Zoncolan. Unfortunately, The difficulty only 50% - I took care of my knees. Since it’s hard to reach 100% on 36 x 25, but I’ll do it in the future. Road Feel Intensity - 100%. The video is also beautiful. At kilometer 9.3 from the start, the gradient suddenly became less than 2% for a short time. And after 10.23 km - 4.7%. This is right?

v4 has a fix for the two grade issues, they both come when Ive had to stop for something & there is a cut. The inclinometer is great when Im moving, especially when climbing, its spot on & will pick up even the slightest changes. Its all goes to junk when Ive had to stop or if cornering at high speed...the old G force :-)

  • I have now begun to notice that after stopping the video, the gradient often decreases. This is more noticeable on steep climbs.

I usually catch these in the edit, but if it's going to be wrong, it will happen in either a cut or a tight bend...rides that I made for my reserve rather than specifically for Tacx Software will have more errors as I often just pump these out without walking through all the data...Like, I filmed a new Coll de Rates with the extra hard hidden climb that's above it....it will probably never get released into Tacx Apps, but it's still the most popular climb in Spain & and it's important to have it if we are staying at the foot of the thing....but I might not spend so much time on the data...although it only has a single cut & thats on a flat section :-).

  • I noticed that the gradient drops when cornering. I thought it was the profile of the road. But it is possible that it is also an inclinometer.

If its a descent, it really does not matter, especially if its a corner, I often actually reduce the grades or lengthen corners in an attempt to slow the frame rate down to avoid skipping as there is no breaking in the newer Apps and you can hit utterly insane speeds on some of the rides (try descending the Angliru haha). Its more the other way if the grade increases to something crazy on a corner, this will cause skipping because it will generate a very high artificial speed/frame rate much higher then you would do in real life (which is close to what Im doing on Bertha).  If you search Alp d'Huez in Beta there is a special ride I made of the descent...its actually the inclinometer grade set reduced 2/3rds so its like an average of something like -3% rather then -9% or what ever it is....it results in a much more realistic descending experience...a few of the beta team use this ride a fair bit to cool down or warm up haha.

Here is a pic I took looking at the final 23% ramp when I rode up it on the road bike last winter...had some sketchy ice on it also!

  • 7 Feb - i tried this again (V5 TEST or something like that in the descriptor).  All OK now
