Latest activity failed to upload to cloud

My last ride failed to upload to the my activities.

There was a feature where you could get a copy of your activity file emailed to you, does this still exist?

Is there any local location on my PC where tacx activity files are stored like in Zwift?

  • I hate it when that happens.

    If you've not turned off your PC, there may be a temp file that can be renamed - I meant to try it myself, but forgot. It would be great if there was a local file, so whether RDA crashes or doesn't upload to the cloud, you can still have a record of your endeavour.

  • I'm also worried about this. In the 3-4 years that I'm using TDA (Windows) now, I suffered a couple of times that after some serious rides (even one being part of an exhaustive Tacx Challenge) didn't get saved properly. One ride could be restored, but recently I had the same issue, and the ride couldn't get restored but was lost. So all effort down the drain (for the stats).
    IMO it should be possible to always be able to save a backup file in case the regular uploading crashes for whatever reason -- a sudden flick of a internet outage/down for example.

    My latest issue was about giving consent to Garmin/Tacx about uploading my rides to from TDA to Garmin Connect. I already gave this consent, but somehow I got the question again. I accepted this once again, but just after accepting all terms, I got an error message, after which the ride wasn't saved to Tacx Cloud nor Garmin Connect. A good ride of 1,5 hour duration got lost...

    I had this experience today on the tacx training app for android on my samsung galaxy tab S7+ (android 13) with tacx training app (version 4.50.2 (41770).
    I saved the activity and on the screen where it tells you that this can last several minutes and you can close the screen....well I closed the screen and the activity never showed up anywhere. not in the tacx app nor in garmin connect. so as I never did it.

    It is really disappointing when that happen and costs you some badges. of course the training status is also not calculated correct...

  • I've also just experienced the same thing. I checked the log and I can see the following message, though nothing has appeared in Garmin Connect.

  • Same problem, iPad did not upload my activity to Garmin Connect. I had updated to latest TACX app before using it this morning   Coincidence or cause?

  • I wonder if there is some "central" error between the Tacx and Connect infrastructure?

  • Hi, just had the same problem. Saving the activity in TDA worked (clicking the green button). But normally a link to Garmin Connect pops up -- not this time. I see no new activity in GC. Hopefully the activities are hanging 'somewhere' and will get directed properly to our GC accounts.
    Using TDA version 4.50.2.0 -- as far as I can see this is the most recent version.

  • Tacx app updated today from Apple Store for iPad is 4.51.3.  Used previous version yesterday, no problem.  

  • Just happened to me, too. Seems like there's some sort of outage at Garmin. Hopeully the data isn't lost, just stuck in a processing pipeline
